Location: Hillingdon, West London

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hillingdon is seeking an experienced and committed SENCO to join their leadership team. About the Role

As SENCO, you will play a central role in leading SEND provision across the school, ensuring high-quality inclusive practice across all year groups.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing SEND provision across the primary school
  • Overseeing the identification, assessment, and support of pupils with additional needs
  • Coordinating, reviewing, and monitoring EHCPs and annual reviews
  • Working closely with class teachers to ensure high-quality differentiated teaching and inclusion
  • Supporting staff with strategies for pupils with ASD, SEMH, SLD, and other complex needs
  • Liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies including educational psychologists, therapists, and the local authority
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and SEND provision
  • Leading staff training and CPD on inclusive practice and SEND strategies
  • Ensuring full compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
  • Contributing to whole-school improvement and leadership decision-making

  • Experience supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH, SLD, and other complex needs
  • Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies
  • A strategic, inclusive, and solution-focused approach
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for all pupils
