Full job description

We're working with a friendly, inclusive primary school in Harborne area who are looking for an Inclusion Support Worker to join their team. This is a great role for someone who wants variety - you won't be tied to one child all day, but instead supporting a small group of pupils across the school who need extra help to stay engaged, regulated and included in school life.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils on the SEND register across different year groups, both in-class and through targeted small-group or 1:1 interventions
  • Running structured interventions, this could be social skills groups, emotional regulation work, or catch-up support for literacy/numeracy
  • Helping pupils who struggle with transitions, unstructured times (like lunch and playtime), or sensory overload
  • Working closely with the Inclusion Lead/SENDCo to put pupil support plans into action day to day
  • Building trusted relationships with pupils so they feel comfortable coming to you when things feel too much
  • Keeping observations and feedback flowing back to teachers and the SEND team so plans stay up to date
  • Supporting de-escalation when a pupil becomes dysregulated, using the school's agreed strategies

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working with children with SEND, SEMH needs, or additional vulnerabilities
  • A calm, consistent approach - pupils who need this kind of support thrive on predictability
  • Someone comfortable moving between different classes and pupils, rather than being based in one room all day
  • Strong communication skills - you'll be liaising with teachers, TAs and the SEND team regularly
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)

What's in it for you:

  • A genuinely inclusive school culture where this role is valued, not an afterthought
  • Variety in your working day, no two days quite the same
  • Fast, straightforward compliance and onboarding through our team
  • Free access to relevant CPD and training
  • A consultant who knows the school and stays in regular contact, not just at booking stage

Pay: £100.00-£120.00 per day

Benefits:

  • Discounted or free food
  • Free parking
  • On-site parking
  • Referral programme
  • Sick pay

Experience:

  • SEND Support: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • DBS on the Update Service (preferred)

Work Location: In person
