Overview

Tamila SOHO is a new venture from the team behind the Tamil Prince and Tamil Crown. We bring a sharing menu full of flavours from Tamil Nadu in Southern India, banging cocktails with a spiced twist and lively atmosphere in Kings Cross.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant General Manager to join our growing team. You'll help shape the way the team and site develops through training and leading service at a time of exciting growth for the company with a view for progression.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in restaurant operations and team leadership, demonstrating a hands on approach to managing the team and service. In our restaurant it's important everyone is happy to get involved in all areas to maintain the smooth running of the site. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of daily operations while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service in the absence of the General Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and development.
  • Address customer enquiries and use of feedback platforms to resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the management team to implement strategies for improving service quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential, with a focus on amazing customer experiences.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience in team management and supervision.
  • Compliance qualifications such as Food Safety Level 2
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
