Job Overview
We are a fast-paced, traditional and authentic Indian (Punjabi) fast-food restaurant seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant / Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

This role is suited to someone comfortable working in a high-volume environment with a good understanding of Indian cuisine and kitchen culture. Punjabi and Hindi language skills are essential.

Duties

  • Supporting day-to-day kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment
  • Assisting with food preparation and cooking across various kitchen sections
  • Working on kitchen line duties during service periods
  • Preparing a range of traditional Indian foods, including breads, snacks, and sweets
  • Assisting with tandoor, frying, and other cooking methods as required
  • Following recipes and instructions accurately
  • Supporting timely order output during busy periods
  • Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
  • Assisting with stock handling, deliveries, and general kitchen organisation
  • Working flexibly to meet operational demands

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an Indian kitchen or fast-food environment preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Punjabi and Hindi speaking – essential
  • Understanding of Indian (Punjabi) food and kitchen culture
  • Good time management and teamwork skills
  • Physically able to handle kitchen duties
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. We do not offer visa sponsorship.
