Overview

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Waiter to join our vibrant Indian hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional guest service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic restaurant environment, where professionalism and a positive attitude are highly valued. Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests, upselling menu items where appropriate
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of tables before, during, and after service
  • Handle guest queries promptly and courteously, resolving any issues to ensure satisfaction
  • Assist with food safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
  • Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service for all guests
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold hygiene standards in line with health regulations

Experience

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
  • Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and upselling strategies will be beneficial
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour to enhance guest experience
  • Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
  • Experience working in kitchens or culinary environments is a plus but not mandatory
