We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Curry Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of Indian dishes using traditional methods. The ideal candidate should be passionate about Indian cuisine and possess excellent cooking skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking a range of curry dishes and burryanis
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented in accordance with the restaurant's standards.
• Manage and maintain the curry cooking equipment, ensuring that it is clean and in good working order.
• Develop and create new recipes and dishes for the restaurant's menu.
• Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared on time and to the highest standard.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff on curry cooking techniques and procedures.
• Ensure that all food items are stored and handled correctly, in compliance with food safety standards.
• Monitor food supplies and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a curry chef .
• A diploma or degree in culinary arts or a related field is preferred, but not required.
• A credible reference may be considered.
• Thorough knowledge of tandoori and curry cooking techniques and methods
• Knowledge of various Indian spices and ingredients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
