Overview
Wokman Buffet is looking for a passionate and experienced Indian Chef to join our growing team. We are seeking a skilled chef who can prepare authentic dishes that cater to both Indian and Pakistani taste preferences, while maintaining exceptional standards of taste, quality, and presentation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in our kitchen, preparing fresh buffet items daily and ensuring that every dish is cooked to a consistently high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian and Pakistani dishes.
  • Cook a range of Indian curries, tandoori dishes, biryanis, kebabs, and starters.
  • Prepare Indo-Chinese dishes such as noodles, fried rice, chilli chicken, Manchurian, and other popular favourites.
  • Assist with daily buffet preparation and ensure food is replenished throughout service.
  • Maintain consistent taste, portion control, and presentation across all dishes.
  • Ensure high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation.
  • Monitor stock levels and minimise food waste.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Indian Chef in a restaurant, buffet, or takeaway kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian and Pakistani-style cooking.
  • Experience preparing Indo-Chinese cuisine.
  • Previous experience in buffet food preparation is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • A passion for delivering authentic flavours and high-quality food.

Previous experience in a restaurant or takeaway kitchen is preferred.
