Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager for a busy casual dining Indian restaurant, to oversee the daily operations of our establishment along with the Restaurant Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and leadership, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a hands-on approach to team management, bar management and food safety.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to quality standards.
  • Support the restaurant manager to train, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Manage the bar operations independently. Must have knowledge of cocktails and to develop bar menus​
  • Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining high hygiene standards.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock to prevent shortages.
  • Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed, providing support to kitchen staff during peak hours.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and improve operational efficiency.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally, ensuring resolution aligns with company policies.
  • Prepare reports on restaurant performance, including sales figures, staff productivity, and customer feedback.
  • You will report to the restaurant manager.

Skills

  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of bar management.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers alike.
  • Proficient in supervising kitchen operations and food preparation processes.
  • Bartending experience is advantageous for managing beverage service effectively.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A passion for hospitality with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
