Chef de Partie

The Indian Streatery Family is growing. An award winning family run independent business is spreading its wings! We are expanding and growing organically and we want you to be apart of the journey! We are looking for a candidate to continue to improve the cleanliness of our kitchens at the Streatery while keeping that high energy family run feeling! We are looking for professional yet friendly, staff to join our team. The positions include: Chef de Partie & Line Chefs.

Job Description:

  • Section Management: Take full ownership of kitchen stations during service.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, cook, and plate dishes to exact restaurant standards and Head Chef specifications.
  • Quality Control: Monitor portion control, minimize food wastage, and ensure every plate leaving your station is visually appealing and correctly flavored.
  • Staff Supervision: Coach, train, and supervise Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff working within your section.
  • Stock & Inventory: Assist with stock rotation, ordering supplies, and conducting necessary inventory and temperature checks.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain impeccable hygiene standards, keep workstations sanitized, and adhere to HACCP and COSHH regulations

Skills:

- Adhere to high levels of hygiene standards
- Previous experience in restaurant industry is a plus, but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Part-time hours: 25-40 per week

Pay: £9.00-£13 per hour based on age & experience (NMW).
