Chef de Partie (Indian & British Cuisine)

Location: Coventry City Centre, West Midlands

Salary: £30,000 – £38,700 per annum (depending on experience)

About Us

We are an exciting new 200-cover hospitality destination in Coventry City Centre, combining Indian Fine Dining, a modern Desi Pub, traditional English Breakfasts, and British Pub Classics under one roof. Our vision is to deliver exceptional food, warm hospitality, and memorable dining experiences for families, professionals, and the local community.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie (Indian & British Cuisine) to join our growing kitchen team and play a key role in delivering high-quality food across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and operate a designated section of the kitchen independently and efficiently.
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Produce a variety of dishes including:
  • Indian Fine Dining Specialities
  • South Indian & North Indian Cuisine
  • Tandoori and Grill Dishes
  • Biryanis and Curry Specialities
  • British Pub Classics
  • Traditional English Breakfasts
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in accordance with company recipes and standards.
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal specials.
  • Support food preparation and service during busy periods and large events.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure proper storage and stock rotation procedures.
  • Minimise food waste and maintain portion control standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, allergen, and health & safety regulations.
  • Assist in training and mentoring Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and professional working environment at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure excellent customer service.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie, Line Chef, or equivalent role in a professional kitchen.
  • Experience preparing Indian cuisine in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment.
  • Good understanding of British cuisine and breakfast service.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP, and allergen regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and committed to maintaining high standards.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Tandoor, Chargrill, and Curry Sections.
  • Experience in Indian Fine Dining, Gastropub, or Hotel Kitchens.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 or higher.
  • Experience serving 100+ covers per service.
  • Ability to supervise junior kitchen staff.
