The Role

As a Chef, you will oversee the daily operations of a busy central production kitchen, preparing a wide range of dishes with precision and consistency. You'll work closely with the team to plan menus, manage stock, and ensure that all meals meet client expectations while maintaining strict health, safety, and hygiene standards.



Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and meal preparation in a high-volume environment.
  • Prepare hot and cold dishes with a focus on Mediterranean, Indian, and Middle Eastern cuisines.
  • Participate in menu planning, ingredient selection, and portion control to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Ensure meals are beautifully presented and meet dietary requirements.
  • Purchase and store food supplies appropriately, maintaining freshness and stock rotation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and place timely orders for ingredients and supplies.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, and ovens.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen workspace.
  • Support and train junior kitchen staff when required.

  • Has proven experience working as a Chef in a high-volume, high-profile kitchen (such as a central production or large-scale catering operation).
  • Has strong culinary skills and knowledge of Mediterranean, Indian, and Middle Eastern cuisines.
  • Holds a recognised culinary qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Understands and adheres to kitchen health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and maintains composure under pressure.
  • Is creative, reliable, and passionate about delivering exceptional food.
