Artisa Spa is currently recruiting experienced massage therapists who are available to work weekends and specialise in Swedish, Deep Tissue, and any of the following treatments:

• Sports Massage
• Lymphatic Drainage (manual)
• Pregnancy Massage
• Hot-Stone Massage
• Reflexology
• Indian Head Massage
• Table-Thai Massage
• Aromatherapy

Knowledge of basic beauty treatments such as facials and body scrubs is welcome but not necessary.

SHIFTS & AVAILABILITY:

• This job post is for weekends only, however, additional availability is welcome.
• We offer 6, 8, & 10-hour shifts the choice is yours.
• Monday to Saturday shifts: 10am - 4pm or 4pm - 10pm
• Sunday shifts: 10am - 3pm or 3pm - 8pm
• There are no guaranteed breaks during 6-hour shifts.
• Flexible availability will guarantee you more shifts.
• Rota is a issued two months in advance. Once shifts have been published, it is expected to honour them on time.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• You must be punctual.
• You must be proficient in the treatments you provide.
• You must be able to work under pressure.
• You must be able to communicate in English without assistance.
• You must be qualified to live, work, and practice massage and beauty treatments (if applicable) in the UK.

CONTRACT & PAYMENT

• Payment is £22/hr of massage provided and £18/hr for beauty treatments, with a £50 minimum guarantee per shift. Payment applies only for the time spent delivering treatments.
• Your rate will increase by £1/hr for every year you stay with our company.
• This is a six-month services contract and you will be self-employed.
• Payments are made weekly to your bank account every Thursday.
• First two weeks are kept as a security deposit and paid back to you once you've served your notice.

Responsibilities and Duties:

You will consult with our clients to understand their treatment goals, manage their expectations, provide effective massage treatments and advise them on their condition and how our services can help.

You must be able to advocate and explain treatment plans (where beneficial), schedule follow-up appointments at the optimum time-frequency, provide quality aftercare advice and build relationships with each of our clients.

We expect you to grow and maintain a client base by supporting our clients through their individual needs and upsell further regular treatment plans and packages at a frequency that offers preventative care.

You are responsible for the professionalism required to provide consistent and effective treatments and self-care habits and present in the necessary physical, mental and emotional state. This and investing in skill gaps will enable you to enjoy a fully booked schedule within a couple of weeks of joining our team.

We promise to furnish you with all the necessary equipment, marketing, services and facilities to grow and maintain a fully booked schedule within Artisa Spa.

Our spa's Manager is available for advice on client care, knowledge sharing and skills in client relationship management.
