Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Waiter/Waitress to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic restaurant environment, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
  • Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally, maintaining high standards of presentation
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest experience
  • Ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset efficiently for new guests
  • Handle guest queries courteously and resolve any issues promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations
  • Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed, supporting overall restaurant operations
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently using the POS system
  • Uphold health and safety standards at all times during service

Skills

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper serving procedures
  • Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
  • Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately
  • Knowledge of food preparation or culinary practices is advantageous
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
  • Willingness to upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
  • Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills
