About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Food Compliance Officer to support food safety and compliance across a growing portfolio of multi-site, multi-brand franchise businesses.

You will work closely with Operations, Area Managers, Site Managers and franchisor teams to ensure all locations meet legal food safety requirements, company standards and individual brand requirements.

This is a hands-on, field-based role requiring regular travel between sites, strong technical knowledge and the confidence to challenge and improve standards where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct food safety, hygiene and compliance audits across multiple sites.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, HACCP, allergen controls and franchise brand standards.
  • Support sites during Environmental Health, franchisor and other external inspections.
  • Identify non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Investigate food safety incidents, complaints and allergen-related issues.
  • Monitor audit results, hygiene ratings, incidents and compliance trends.
  • Provide practical advice, coaching and food safety training to site and operational teams.
  • Support new-site openings and ensure appropriate food safety systems are in place.
  • Maintain effective relationships with franchisors, suppliers, auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide regular compliance updates and highlight significant risks to senior management.

About You

You will have:

  • Strong experience in food safety, food compliance, quality or technical roles.
  • Experience working within multi-site food service, hospitality, restaurants, QSR, takeaway or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, allergen management and food safety legislation.
  • Experience conducting audits and managing corrective actions.
  • Confidence dealing with operational managers and challenging non-compliance.
  • Strong communication, organisation and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel regularly between sites.

Experience within a franchise or multi-brand environment would be highly desirable.

Qualifications

Ideally, you will hold:

  • Level 3 or Level 4 Food Safety qualification.
  • HACCP Level 3 or above.
  • Internal Auditor qualification or equivalent experience.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone practical, confident and commercially aware who can combine strong food safety knowledge with an understanding of busy, fast-paced food operations.

You will be comfortable working across different brands and sites, building strong relationships with operational teams while maintaining consistently high compliance standards.
