Full job description

We're looking for an experienced Commercial/Industrial Electrician to join our growing team, working on the installation, maintenance, and repair of HV/LV electrical equipment across private networks, generation and distribution sites nationwide.

This is a hands-on role with real variety — from planned installations to reactive emergency callouts — and genuine opportunities to develop your career into high voltage work.

What we do

We are a full turnkey Commercial and industrial HV/LV Design and Installation company with a portfolio of 700+customers many who have been with us from the beginning, most of our business is from repeat or word of mouth. We have also diversified into battery storage (BESS) and EV commercial installation providing recognised training for our Engineers.

What you'll be doing

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing HV/LV electrical systems and equipment
  • Installing and terminating heavy cables (240mm² 4-core SWA, 630mm² AWA), switchgear, and transformers
  • Reading electrical schematics and using a range of test equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and implementing repairs — including as part of our 24-hour emergency response service
  • Working on sites across the UK, both locally and away from home as required
  • Collaborating with SAPs and colleagues on larger project work

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial/industrial electrician role
  • 18th Edition qualified
  • Current ECS card
  • Heavy industrial experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Based within 1 hour of Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working autonomously or as part of a team

Preferable:

  • BS 2391 – Testing & Inspection
  • SSSTS / CDM Awareness
  • MEWP/IPAF
  • Jointing/fitting experience
  • Good IT skills

Advantageous:

Already working in an HV environment (11kV/33kV) with experience of:

  • Transformers
  • 11kV Triplex / SWA 3-core / PILCSWA / PICAS cables, terms, and joints
  • OCBs, SF6 & oil-filled switchgear
  • Live LV testing
  • HV earthing systems, HV cabling, cable spiking
  • Competent person documentation (Comp Docs)
  • BPSS clearance

Candidates who are currently an Authorised Person (AP) and/or Senior Authorised Person (SAP) will be fast-tracked to interview.
