About The Mole Clinic

At The Mole Clinic, our mission is simple yet powerful — to help lower the UK skin cancer mortality rate through early detection, expert care, and innovation. As an award-winning specialist clinic with a CQC “Good” rating and outstanding patient reviews, we combine compassion, clinical expertise and technology to save lives every day.

We are now looking for a Skin Cancer Screening Nurse to join our expanding region in Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside expert dermatologists and plastic surgeons while receiving specialist training in skin cancer screening, including our RCN-accredited training course.

Why Join Us?

We believe excellent care starts with excellent people — and we invest in ours.

Our bespoke training and development programme includes the only Skin Cancer Screening Nurse Training Course accredited by the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). This comprehensive programme equips nurses with in-depth knowledge of skin cancer detection, dermoscopy techniques and patient education.

You will receive structured training, clinical supervision and ongoing mentorship from experienced clinicians, ensuring you feel confident and supported as you develop specialist expertise in skin cancer screening.

Dermatology experience is not required for the role — however, applicants should have strong clinical foundations and the ability to conduct careful patient assessments.

The Role

Please note: The successful applicant must be available for two weeks initial training (Mon - Fri) in London or Manchester clinic

As a Screening Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting mole and lesion assessments using dermoscopy to support early detection of skin cancer. You will deliver exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with leading consultant dermatologists and plastic surgeons, and contribute to maintaining the high standards of our clinic.

While your primary base will be our Glasgow clinic, there may be occasions where work is required in our Edinburgh clinic, depending on diary demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive full-body skin cancer screenings using structured clinical assessment techniques
  • Identify, document and escalate suspicious or atypical lesions in line with clinical protocols
  • Maintain clear, accurate and detailed clinical documentation within patient records and internal systems
  • Collaborate closely with consultant dermatologists and plastic surgeons to support patient pathways
  • Follow clinical governance standards, internal protocols and CQC guidelines to maintain patient safety
  • Provide reassurance, education and clear communication to patients throughout their consultation
  • Contribute to maintaining the clinic’s high standards of patient care and clinical excellence

What We Offer

Salary & Benefits: £42,000 per annum (FTE)

Performance Related Pay: Monthly bonuses averaging £4,000 per annum (FTE)

  • Birthday off
  • Private pension scheme
  • Employee Discount

  • Paid sick leave
  • Referral scheme
  • Company social events

Working Environment:

You will work in bright, purpose-designed clinic - welcoming space that reflects our friendly and patient-focused ethos.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8am - 5pm or 10am - 7pm
  • Saturdays: 9am - 4pm
  • We are closed on bank holidays
