About the role

Work hours are generally part-time including weekday evenings and weekends. Once qualified, successful trainees will be employed as swimming teachers by:

  • Cirencester Leisure Centre, Tetbury Road, Cirencester GL7 1US
  • Bourton-on-the-Water Leisure Centre, Station Road, Bourton-on-the-Water, Cheltenham GL54 2BD
  • Chipping Campden Leisure Centre, Cidermill Lane, Chipping Campden GL55 6HU

A DBS check will be required before starting your volunteering hours.

Shortlisted applicants will be given the opportunity to find out more about the swimming teacher opportunity at an informal virtual meet and greet session and interview that will take place after the closing date. You don't need any prior qualifications to apply as you will be supported through your training, although we are accepting applications from those who are halfway through their swimming teacher training or already have their level 1 or 2 qualifications.

There may be an opportunity for Swimming teachers to complete other qualifications e.g. lifesaving qualification (Pool Lifeguard or National Rescue Award). Swimming Teachers will be required to sign a training agreement with a commitment to work for Freedom Leisure for a minimum of two years.
