About the role

We are recruiting an HCPC-registered paramedic to lead internal quality assurance across Medipro's clinical, vocational and apprenticeship provision. You will be our technical authority for assessment quality and will protect the validity, consistency and fairness of decisions from enrolment through to certification.

Main responsibilities

• · Maintain an annual risk-based IQA strategy and sampling plan covering active programmes, assessors, delivery models and assessment methods.
• · Complete and coordinate interim and summative sampling in line with awarding-organisation, EPAO and internal requirements.
• · Check assessment decisions for validity, reliability, authenticity, sufficiency, currency and fairness.
• · Lead standardisation, cross-marking and the resolution of inconsistent assessment practice.
• · Give tutors, assessors and IQAs clear developmental feedback, coaching and support plans.
• · Support the approval and induction of new tutors and assessors, using enhanced sampling until competence is assured.
• · Undertake observations of teaching, learning and assessment and agree practical improvement actions.
• · Review clinical learning materials, assessment instruments and learner-journey evidence for accuracy and accessibility.
• · Act as lead contact for awarding-organisation and EPAO quality activity, including visits, evidence and action closure.
• · Report on assessment risk, sampling, standardisation, certification and external-quality actions.

What we need from you

• · Current HCPC registration as a paramedic and a credible clinical background.
• · Substantial assessment and internal quality assurance experience in clinical, vocational or apprenticeship education.
• · Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice, or equivalent.
• · Level 3 assessor qualification or equivalent.
• · A teaching qualification at Level 4 or above, or equivalent substantial teaching experience.
• · Experience leading risk-based sampling, standardisation and assessor development.
• · Experience working directly with awarding organisations or external quality assurers.
• · Sound knowledge of apprenticeship standards, gateway, end-point assessment and current Ofsted expectations.

Experience that would be useful

• · Quality assurance across more than one clinical or apprenticeship programme area.
• · Experience observing teaching, learning and assessment.
• · A leadership, coaching or mentoring qualification.
• · Experience developing digital or blended assessment practice.

Why this role matters

The post gives you the authority to shape assessment practice, develop clinical educators and protect standards across Medipro's provision. It is a technical leadership role without direct line-management responsibility.

Pay: £42,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
