Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Doctors Receptionist to join our medical practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment, contributing to the efficient delivery of healthcare services. Prior office or administrative experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
  • Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations efficiently using our practice management system
  • Answer incoming calls promptly, providing accurate information or directing calls to appropriate staff
  • Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with data protection regulations
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and processing correspondence
  • Collect and process patient payments and insurance information as required
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times
  • Assist with general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice

Requirements

  • Maths and English GCSE level C or above
  • Previous office or administrative experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Friendly, approachable manner with a professional attitude
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently when necessary

Pay: From £24,852.00 per year
