Location and Travel – Essential Criteria
**We are seeking applicants based in SCOTLAND to facilitate regular appointments within the region**
Location: Home-based covering Scotland and surrounding areas. Suitable locations include in or around Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Livingston, Motherwell, Paisley. You must be located with easy access to a major rail hub.
Whilst public transport is often the preferred option, this role requires you to have access to a car and to hold a full valid clean driving licence for use in the UK.

We have also built a bespoke intelligence platform, Rapid, which allows our clients to order intelligence quickly and efficiently, as well as provide the team with enhanced methods of locating hard-to-find online data. We are also part of The Surveillance Group - The largest and most successful covert surveillance and investigation company in the UK.
As an Intelligence and Investigations Specialist you will have a comprehensive understanding of all investigative functions within NetWatch. You will be capable of handling all types of investigative tasks, from analysing and interpreting open-source intelligence, and compiling a range of specialised reports, to interviewing police officers, policyholders, and witnesses, and compiling witness statements. This position is designed for the versatile, well-rounded investigations specialist eager to learn every aspect of becoming a top-tier professional in the intelligence field.
Salary
£27,533 per annum + uncapped monthly bonus scheme
Earning Potential in Year One:
- 1k pay rise at successful passing of 6-month probation
- Uncapped bonus earning potential from 6 months onwards
- Average bonus of £200 per month, with top-earning team members regularly earning bonuses around £750 per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out recorded video and audio calls, predominantly over Teams, with police officers, policyholders, and witnesses to determine liability and indemnity issues.
- Conducting site visits, CCTV enquiries, and in-person interviews to gather information relevant to ongoing cases.
- Planning interviews—including reviewing police reports, examining email chains for additional details, and analysing internal case reports.
- Identifying inconsistencies or gaps in verbal accounts given by witnesses/policyholders and having the confidence to challenge them where necessary.
- Articulating terminology and reason for interviewing in understandable terms to witnesses, policyholders and officers.
- Report and Statement writing – collating information extracted from the interview into a comprehensive written format to send to clients.
- Attending court as both a witness and observer, to assist with ongoing investigations and case development.
- Analysing and compiling intelligence into comprehensive written reports in a target driven environment.
- Utilising a variety of databases, public records, and intelligence tools & techniques to obtain information on subjects and attribute social networking accounts to them.
- Researching social networking sites to build up a lifestyle analysis of individuals suspected of being involved in fraudulent claims.
- Identifying and locating individuals who may have witnessed any road or personal injury accidents so that the client can obtain statements to assist when deciding upon liability and reserve.
- Investigations into online networks with the aim of establishing any links between parties which could suggest fraud.
- Utilising in-house NetWatch software to provide a range of bespoke services to clients in various industries.
Experience
- Excellent grasp of written and spoken English
- 2.1 degree or above, or valuable industry experience within a fraud detection or policing role
- Experience in engaging with people, and leading phone or video calls (desirable)
- Experience working in a target driven environment (desirable)
- Good understanding of online social networking and online trends
- Strong IT skills, competent at utilising MS Office and adapting to new database systems

Working Hours
35 flexi hours per week Mon-Fri
First initial 2 weeks in office training (Travel and Monday-Friday accommodation covered for this period only)
Office attendance on a limited, as-required basis

Stage 2: Trait analysis assessment.
Stage 3: Face-to-Face interview (Birmingham office) / Remote assessment.
