Full job description

Our mission at Sciensus is simple: to give patients control of their health through knowledge, choice, convenience and connection.

We're looking for a Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse to join our Clinical Operations team, delivering high-quality oncology care and education across hospital, community and homecare settings.

This is a unique role that combines direct patient care with professional development and clinical leadership. You'll work closely with patients receiving oncology therapies while supporting and mentoring fellow clinicians to ensure the highest standards of practice.
Seeing between 1 - 8 patients per day, you will record all clinical data and document any adverse drug events via the correct protocol. Long lasting relationships will be built with patient's, carers and stakeholders to aide and support treatment and recovery.

A full UK driving licence is essential as you will travel throughout a regional area (covering Newcastle and surrounding areas)

Who we're looking for

We're seeking an experienced and compassionate oncology professional who is committed to delivering outstanding patient care while helping others develop their clinical expertise.

Essential qualifications
Registered General Nurse (RGN), Part 1 NMC Register.
Recognised Chemotherapy Delivery Qualification.

Essential experience
Significant experience administering oncology medications in a hospital or community setting.
Clinical teaching, coaching or mentoring experience.Key skills

Strong clinical assessment skills.
IV administration, cannulation and phlebotomy expertise.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to explain complex clinical information in a clear and patient-friendly way.
Strong understanding of oncology therapies and patient pathways.
Commitment to person-centred care and clinical excellence.
