Full job description

Safe and Insured are an independent award winning commercial insurance broker.

We are looking to relaunch this successful Brokerage and are looking for a Commercial Account Handler to join our team based at our offices in Darwen.

The office has great transport links and hosts on site parking

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about contributing to the business growth plans and being a valued member of the team with opportunities to have input on the day to day matters and drive the team forward. This is a great opportunity to grow and develop with a business that sits with a successful group structure.

You will work closely with all departments in your role and support the Director with their book of business.

As an integral member of the team your responsibilities will include:-

- Handling incoming enquires

- Reporting into the company Director

- Arranging new policies, renewals and mid term adjustments

- Preparing reports, insurance documents and presentations

- Arranging renewal and new business meetings for the branch director

- Managing the claims process

- Maintain client records and data

- Negotiate with underwriters to ensure the best coverage, price and level of cover

- Build and maintain relationships with clients and insurers

Essential for this role:

- GCSE Math's and English grade A-C / 9-4

- Experience of commercial insurance products

- Excellent communication skills

- Competent with Microsoft products

- Professional approach

- Strong attention to detail

- Motivated, eager and passionate in what you do

- Ability to manage your own time and workload

- Problem solving and analytic skills

- Proven track record in retention

Essential/Strongly preferred:

- CII Qualification (Certificate)

- Experience on Acturis

As part of the package your will receive:
