Full job description

We are seeking a driven and experienced Team Manager to work alongside our established and highly experienced Team Manager within the energy consultancy team at Green Shift Energy. This is a key in-house role focused on supporting daily sales-floor operations, motivating and developing staff, and helping to drive consistent performance across the team, as well as reinforcing best practice across the team. A key aspect of the role will be supporting the accuracy, competitiveness, and quality of all energy proposals.Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely alongside the current Team Manager to lead and drive performance on the sales floor.
  • Set the standard for high energy, professionalism, accountability, and results-driven behaviour.
  • Support the training and onboarding of new starters, ensuring they are confident, motivated, and aligned with sales targets and company standards.
  • Motivate and coach consultants daily to maximise performance, productivity, and conversion rates.
  • Support the setting, communication, and monitoring of KPIs, service standards, and sales targets.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback, recognition, and development support to maintain engagement and momentum.
  • Assist in pricing and evaluating commercial energy contracts to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance.
  • Lead by example through strong sales behaviours, work ethic, and professionalism on the sales floor.
  • Analyse team performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the implementation of targeted strategies to improve individual and team results.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the energy market, suppliers, and pricing structures to support sales performance and customer outcomes.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an operational or team management role within the energy or consultancy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of commercial energy contracts and pricing methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with a track record of training and mentoring teams.
  • Ability to set, measure, and drive performance against KPIs and commercial targets.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities with a solution-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/contract pricing tools; knowledge of energy platforms is a plus.
