Overview
Coopers Design and Build is a well-respected and ambitious design, project management and construction company that has been delivering high-quality residential projects across Surrey for over 15 years. We have an amazing, reliable and dedicated team of administrators, craftspeople and designers who have been working together for many years, and we are gradually expanding with new, carefully selected professionals. Each and every member of the team is professional, highly skilled and passionate about their respective field, delivering excellent results for our clients.

As the business continues to grow, we are looking for an Interior Designer to join our growing team. You'll take ownership of residential design projects from concept through to completion, working closely with our management team and clients to bring beautiful, functional spaces to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop interior design concepts and schemes for residential projects, from initial brief through to final specification
  • Produce mood boards, material and finish schedules, and design presentations for client sign-off
  • Prepare detailed drawings and specifications using relevant design software (e.g. SketchUp)
  • Liaise with clients to understand their brief, budget, and preferences, and present design proposals clearly
  • Work collaboratively with our architects and site team to ensure designs are practical and buildable
  • Attend site visits as needed to oversee design implementation and quality
  • Keep up to date with design trends, materials, and industry best practice

The right person will have

  • Solid experience in a similar interior design role, ideally within residential design environments
  • A relevant design qualification (degree or equivalent)
  • Strong proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of residential design projects
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude and keen eye for detail
  • Full UK driving licence (site visits required)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
