Full job description

For recruiters:
We're handling this one ourselves. Please don't send unsolicited CVs, candidate profiles, or sales pitches. Any CVs submitted without a signed recruitment agreement in place will be treated as direct applications and no recruitment fee will be payable.

Overview

Are you tired of being expected to do absolutely everything in marketing?

You know the drill.

The business wants a strategy; the sales team wants leads.

Someone wants a brochure "for tomorrow", someone else needs a LinkedIn post.

The website needs updating, the agency needs briefing. the board wants reporting.

And somehow, you're also expected to be the graphic designer, videographer, copywriter and digital expert too.

Sound familiar?

What if your job was to actually lead marketing?

At CRS, we're looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to own our marketing strategy and help drive the next stage of our growth.

This isn't a role where you'll be expected to personally create every asset or spend your evenings resizing graphics for social media. We've got agencies, freelancers and specialist partners for that.

What we need is someone who can set the direction, challenge ideas, analyse performance, manage budgets, hold suppliers accountable and ensure our marketing activity delivers.

You'll have a genuine voice within the business, direct access to leadership and the autonomy to shape how marketing contributes to growth.

Because frankly, if we're employing a Senior Marketing Manager, we'd rather they spend their time making strategic decisions than arguing with Canva.

What you'll be responsible for

· Owning the CRS marketing strategy and annual roadmap.

· Managing the marketing budget and ensuring strong ROI.

· Leading performance reporting and marketing analytics.

· Managing agencies, freelancers and external marketing partners.

· Overseeing campaigns across digital, social media, email, website and industry channels.

· Developing content and brand strategies that support business objectives.

· Supporting business development and helping create opportunities in target sectors.

· Advising the leadership team on marketing priorities, opportunities and market trends.

What we're looking for

We're not overly concerned whether your experience comes from construction, manufacturing, professional services or elsewhere.

What matters is that you've successfully led marketing before.

You'll probably have:

· 4+ years in a marketing management role.

· Experience developing and delivering marketing strategies.

· Strong agency and supplier management experience.

· Good commercial awareness and the ability to demonstrate ROI.

· Experience using CRM and marketing data to make decisions.

· Strong reporting and analytical capability.

· Confidence working with senior stakeholders.

· A healthy dislike of marketing vanity metrics.

Construction experience would be a bonus, but attitude, commercial thinking and leadership matter far more.

What you'll get

· £55,000 - £65,000 salary depending on experience.

· Performance-related bonus.

· Private medical insurance

· 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

· A genuinely strategic role with visibility across the business.

· The opportunity to shape the marketing function rather than simply manage it.

And the best bit?!

You'll be working directly with our CEO who may or may not have insisted we mention that reporting to him is the highlight of the role ;-)

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Company pension
  • Life insurance
  • On-site parking
  • Private medical insurance

Application question(s):

  • Are you in a commutable distance of Birchwood, WA3?
  • Do you have a Full UK Driving Licence?
