Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimise our clients procurement processes and supply chain operations.

They are a leading player in the Medical Devices space.

  • Salary £55,000 to £65,000 plus 5% bonus
  • Holidays 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Private Healthcare
  • Location - North London
  • The hours 8.30am to 5pm, or 8am to 4.30pm.Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing & procurement

· Manage raw-material and indirect purchasing in line with the company purchasing strategy and directive; approve and maintain purchase orders.

· Build and stress-test demand forecasts (minimum 12-month horizon, with ~6 months of orders confirmed), modelling adverse-event scenarios.

· Own supplier and vendor selection, approval and relationship management; chair bi-weekly supplier meetings and maintain minutes.

· Continuously source new suppliers (direct and indirect) that add commercial or resilience value.

· Monitor market trends, pricing and supply risk; act on emerging threats to cost or continuity.

Supply chain, planning & inventory

· Maintain the production planning schedule and keep it aligned to the live forecast.

· Monitor stock to keep levels optimal; drive OTIF as high as possible and resolve constraints

· Forecast demand incorporating Marketing and International activity so coverage is assured.

· Oversee customer spend patterns and escalate anomalies to the customer or Senior Management.

Team leadership

  • Lead and develop a small team in their daily duties; manage escalations and customer problem-solving.
  • Ensure timely product release so stock can be sold; maintain a constructive working environment.

Desirable experience

  • CIPS membership (working toward or holding MCIPS).
  • Experience in a regulated environment — medical devices, pharma or similar
