Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, organised, and eager to develop their skills within a dynamic kitchen environment. This role offers valuable experience in catering, meal preparation, and food safety standards, contributing to a professional and efficient kitchen operation.

Duties

  • Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of head chefs or senior kitchen staff
  • Support with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and utensils
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations diligently
  • Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and storing ingredients appropriately
  • Assist in serving meals to guests or customers as required
  • Ensure all health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times
  • Support the team during catering events or large-scale meal services

Experience

  • Previous experience in a catering, restaurant, or kitchen environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety standards is advantageous
  • Experience in meal preparation and food safety procedures will be considered a plus
