Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for exceptional service, and a comprehensive understanding of bar and restaurant functions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, ensure high standards of food safety and quality, and contribute to an outstanding guest experience. Previous experience in supervising bar or restaurant settings, along with relevant culinary and hospitality skills, is essential for success in this position.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of bar staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Oversee food and beverage preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and food safety regulations.
  • Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and motivate staff to maintain high levels of performance.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist in training new team members on service standards, food safety procedures, and operational protocols.
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and manage inventory control to minimise waste.
  • Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests by providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production with bar service for seamless operation.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards across the bar area in accordance with health regulations.

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within a bar or restaurant environment is essential.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff effectively.
  • Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques preferred.
  • Experience in serving guests in hospitality settings such as restaurants or hotels is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes is required.
  • Familiarity with kitchen operations and barista experience will be considered advantageous.
  • Previous roles involving hospitality leadership demonstrate capability to manage busy environments efficiently.
