About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and versatile IT Assistant to support the IT Manager in maintaining and developing IT operations at our site.

A key part of the role includes supporting and troubleshooting third-party hardware used in warehouse operations, such as handheld scanners, mobile devices and label printers.

The successful candidate will become a visible and trusted IT presence on site, helping to ensure systems, devices and equipment remain reliable, organised and fit for purpose.

Maybe change to: Capable of working autonomously, taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate issues.

Flexibility, a hands-on approach and a willingness to get involved wherever required are essential. No two days will look the same, and you'll play an important part in supporting the site's day-to-day operations.

Whilst there will be busy periods supporting users and resolving technical issues, there will also be quieter periods where we'd expect the successful candidate to proactively identify improvements, carry out preventative maintenance, update documentation, check equipment and help ensure site technology remains in excellent condition.
