The Role:

Kirby and Haslam have an exciting opportunity to join our Compliance Team.

We are seeking a highly meticulous Paralegal to join our innovative team in Norwich. The full-time role involves the talented candidate being a forward-thinking individual with experience in conducting legal research and confidence in debating complex cases.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research in line with Legislation and HMRC Charter.
  • Conduct investigations, statistical and documentary research.
  • Draft legal documents and correspond with HMRC.
  • Interpret Government legislation and draft responses accordingly.
  • Supporting the Compliance Team Leaders with ad hoc projects, updating policies and procedures, and tasks associated with the introduction of new regulations/legislations.
  • Undertaking and reviewing compliance checks.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Law is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong debating and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrable experience in analytical projects and debating activities.
  • Strong proofreading skills and ability to evaluate complex sets of data.
