Technical Co-Founder – AI, HealthTech & Longevity

The Opportunity

An early-stage, premium longevity and wellness business is seeking a technically strong, entrepreneurial Technical Co-Founder to lead the development of a new digital health and longevity platform.

The business is developing a wider proposition combining consumer wellness products with personalised digital experiences. Its long-term ambition is to build a conversational AI companion that helps people understand their health data, identify meaningful patterns and make better-informed decisions about their wellbeing.

This is an opportunity to join at an early stage and help shape the technical direction, product architecture and long-term growth of the platform.

The Role

Working directly with the founder, you will take ownership of the technology strategy and development of a cross-platform mobile app for iOS and Android.

The initial focus will be a lean, functional app with a scalable data foundation and integrations with compatible health platforms. The longer-term vision includes conversational AI coaching, wearable data integration, personal health tracking and potential subscription-based digital services.

Development will initially be bootstrapped, using a lean approach and AI-assisted development tools. The business intends to explore future investment to accelerate growth, although funding and timing are not guaranteed.

This is an equity-based founding opportunity with no initial salary. The proposed equity stake and terms will be negotiated with the right candidate based on their experience, commitment and contribution.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the technical roadmap and architecture.
• Build and develop a high-quality mobile app for iOS and Android.
• Establish secure backend infrastructure, databases, user accounts and data management.
• Develop integrations with Apple Health and Android Health Connect, with future potential for other wearable and health-data platforms.
• Build a conversational AI experience grounded in users' available data.
• Develop reliable data storage, trend analysis and personalised insights.
• Establish appropriate standards for privacy, security, consent and data protection.
• Use AI-assisted development and modern engineering practices to accelerate delivery.
• Make pragmatic decisions about priorities, technical risk and development costs.
• Help build the technical function as the business grows.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience building and launching mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of React Native, Expo or comparable cross-platform frameworks.
• Experience with backend development, databases, APIs and authentication.
• An understanding of secure data architecture and third-party integrations.
• Experience with AI-powered applications, LLMs or conversational interfaces.
• An interest in HealthTech, longevity, wearable technology or personalised digital health.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently.
• The confidence to take ownership of technical decisions and help shape a product from the ground up.

Experience with consumer subscription products, health-data integrations or sensitive-data environments would be advantageous.
