Job Title: Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager
Location: Fiume and River Bar
Type: Full-time

About our venue:
Within the same building we have 2 flourishing venues. Upstairs we have, Fiume. This is Washington’s premier authentic Italian restaurant located right beside the river. All of our food is hearty and satisfying, making the most of the very best Italian recipes and locally sourced ingredients. Downstairs we have River bar, with a lively atmosphere night and day, it is the perfect place to catch up with friends, a local night out, date night, or even catch the match.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced F&B Manager to join us. Playing a key role in staff recruitment, training, and setting the tone for a truly exceptional front-of-house operation. As the F&B Manager, you’ll help shape the guest journey from day one—leading your team to deliver flawless service and ensuring a warm, memorable atmosphere for every diner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the FOH team to deliver smooth, professional, and welcoming service.
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager, Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure harmony between FOH and BOH operations.
  • Ensure there is a team culture of respect, positivity, and high morale.
  • Develop and implement service standards and daily procedures in line with both venues brand values.
  • Manage customer experience—responding to feedback, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation, and service across all areas.
  • Monitor stock levels, shift schedules, and reservations.
  • Report to the General Manager and contribute to the restaurant’s ongoing development and innovation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar F&B management role in a quality-driven venue.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on, can-do attitude.
  • A genuine love for hospitality and delivering unforgettable guest experiences.
  • Knowledge of Italian dining is a plus, but not essential.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure while motivating the team.
