Chef – Castle Carvery Caister

We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join our team at Castle Carvery Caister. At Anglia Restaurants our kitchen teams are at the heart of what we do. We serve high-quality, freshly prepared roasts and classic main menu dishes in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. You’ll be joining a supportive and energetic brigade who take pride in consistency, presentation, and delivering an excellent guest dining experience every day.

About You
You’ll thrive in a fast-moving kitchen, work well as part of a team, and show initiative when it counts. A strong understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness is essential, along with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities
Your role will include (but is not limited to):

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality carvery meats, sides, and accompaniments to specification.
  • Setting up and maintaining the carvery deck and kitchen for a smooth service.
  • Working across all kitchen sections depending on business needs this includes carvery and main menu stations.
  • Receiving and storing deliveries in line with food safety standards.
  • Completing kitchen records, due diligence checks, and food safety documentation.
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout.
  • Supporting senior chefs and management to deliver consistent, high-quality food.
  • Following all company and legal food safety and health & safety procedures.
  • Ensuring all prep, cooking, and presentation meets brand standards and spec.
  • Cleaning down and resetting the kitchen at the end of each shift.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or carvery environment is beneficial but not essential. Full training and onboarding will be provided.

Hours & Availability

We have both full-time and part-time positions available, with hours discussed at interview to suit your availability.

We are a 365-day business, so you must be available to work Sundays, weekends, school holidays and the Christmas period. Sundays are our busiest service, so availability on this day is essential.
