THE ROLE

Work directly with the CEO to turn restaurant activity and commercial priorities into content, campaigns, partnerships and bookings. You will combine hands-on sales and marketing with personal-assistant support: filming and editing content (desirable), managing social channels, following up opportunities and keeping the CEO’s diary, meetings and actions organised. You will also manage to the marketing of Giovanni's own Mini Zoo Charity Fundraiser and Feeding the Homeless Programme.

This role suits someone who can move between a restaurant floor, a filming session, a partner meeting and focused administration. You will handle confidential information, use sound judgement and follow work through to a clear outcome.

ROLE STRUCTURE AND WORKING PATTERN

  • Work directly with the CEO across three Cardiff restaurants.
  • Coordinate regularly with restaurant managers, chefs, suppliers, creators and commercial partners.
  • Spend most of your time on site for filming, meetings, events and restaurant activity.
  • Work occasional evenings or weekends when launches, events or filming require it.
  • Complete some editing and administration from home by agreement when the work allows.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Content and social media

  • Plan and maintain a practical weekly content calendar for the restaurant group, mini zoo and feeding the homeless programme.
  • Film, photograph and edit short-form content featuring our food, people, restaurants and events.
  • Write and publish posts across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other agreed channels.
  • Manage comments and messages, responding promptly and escalating customer issues when needed.
  • Coordinate content with restaurant teams, photographers, videographers, influencers and partners.
  • Keep social profiles, website information and campaign details accurate and current.

Sales and marketing

  • Promote seasonal menus, restaurant events, private dining, parties and corporate bookings.
  • Follow up sales enquiries and partnership opportunities to a clear outcome.
  • Build relationships with local theatres, hotels, businesses, venues, universities and community organisations.
  • Support email campaigns, website updates, PR, launches and local marketing activity.
  • Track reach, engagement, enquiries, bookings and attributable revenue, then prepare a concise weekly report for the CEO.
  • Record what worked, what did not and the next action for each active campaign.

Personal-assistant support

  • Manage the CEO’s diary, meetings, travel and priority actions.
  • Prepare agendas, take useful notes and maintain clear action lists.
  • Coordinate projects across the restaurant group and follow up deadlines with internal and external contacts.
  • Organise documents, correspondence and information so the CEO can make decisions quickly.
  • Handle commercial and personal information with discretion.
  • Attend meetings, events and filming sessions with the CEO when required.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • The group publishes useful, consistent content on schedule.
  • Campaigns and partnerships generate measurable enquiries, bookings or revenue.
  • Sales leads receive prompt follow-up and do not get lost.
  • Weekly reporting distinguishes activity from commercial results.
  • The CEO’s diary, meetings, decisions and actions remain organised.
  • Restaurant teams know what content or information you need and when you need it.

WHAT WE NEED

  • Examples of social content you have filmed, edited or managed. A portfolio or links to published work are required for a strong application.
  • Experience managing business social-media accounts and content calendars.
  • Confidence filming people, food and live events using a phone or camera.
  • Practical editing skills using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva or similar software (desirable).
  • Clear copywriting and a good eye for timely, useful content.
  • Strong organisation, sound judgement and reliable follow-through.
  • Confidence speaking with customers, partners, creators and senior colleagues.
  • The discretion required to support a CEO and handle confidential information.
  • The ability to travel between our Cardiff sites and work occasional evenings or weekends for events and filming.

Hospitality, food, leisure or lifestyle experience is useful, but strong content, organisation and commercial judgement matter more.

INDUCTION AND SUPPORT

We will provide a structured induction covering our restaurants, brand, audiences, commercial priorities, social accounts, content approval, enquiry handling and ways of working with the CEO and restaurant teams. You must bring the content skills, organisation and judgement required for the role.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Salary of £30,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • A varied role working directly with the CEO across an established Cardiff restaurant group.

  • Company pension and sick pay.
  • Employee and food discounts.
  • Company events.
  • Some home working for editing and administration by agreement, balanced with regular on-site filming and meetings.
