Sous Chef – Italian Cuisine | Paisley

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef with a strong background in Italian cuisine to join a dynamic kitchen team in the Paisley area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated chef to step into a key leadership role within a quality-driven restaurant, supporting kitchen operations and delivering authentic Italian dishes to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Prepare and present high-quality Italian dishes in line with standards
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff, ensuring smooth service
  • Maintain high levels of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef
  • Essential: Strong background in Italian cuisine
  • Experience working in fast-paced, quality-driven kitchens
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Solid knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance
  • Passion for fresh ingredients and authentic cooking
