Overview
We are seeking a skilled and Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and asian cuisine.. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with precision and artistry
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared according to food safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sushi station and kitchen area
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver consistent quality and presentation
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during food preparation and service
  • Assist in meal preparation for special events or menu changes as required
  • Serve dishes promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles, preferably within a restaurant setting specialising in Japanese cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
  • Experience in meal preparation, serving, or related hospitality functions is desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Previous experience working as a Sushi Chef or similar role.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
