Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Member to join our team at UKIYO Hand Roll Bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong service skills, a welcoming personality, and a great attitude to hospitality.

UKIYO Hand Roll Bar is an ultra-minimal chef's table set up focussing on Japanese hand rolls, cocktails and elegant service.

Duties

  • Work closely with our sushi chefs to provide our guests with a unique chef's table experience.
  • Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of FOH areas, ensuring the highest standards are kept.
  • Take orders, host and create a welcoming environment for all guests at UKIYO.
  • Make high quality beverages and cocktails.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sake, spirits and wines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a serving or hospitality role, for at least one year, within the restaurant or hotel industry is essential.
  • Knowledge of wines, cocktails and sake preferable.
  • Entry level bartending experience, simple cocktails and wine service preferable.
  • Knowledge of sushi and Japanese cuisine preferable.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
