Duties

• Design and develop comprehensive system architectures leveraging service-oriented architecture principles to optimize integration and performance.
• Manage cloud-based environments using AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability, security, and efficient resource utilization.
• Oversee virtualization platforms such as VMware and ESXi to support scalable infrastructure deployment.
• Implement and maintain system solutions utilizing technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and virtualization tools to enhance deployment agility.
• Develop and automate system administration tasks through scripting languages including Bash, Shell Scripting, Python, and PowerShell.
• Configure, monitor, and optimize network components such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, load balancers, and computer networking protocols.
• Collaborate on solution architecture projects involving microservices, REST APIs, NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB), SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle), and NoSQL systems for data management.
• Ensure information security by implementing best practices in firewall management, access controls, encryption protocols, and vulnerability assessments.
• Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by integrating DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Conduct system design reviews to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of all IT solutions.
• Support system troubleshooting efforts across operating systems including Windows Server environments and Linux distributions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports to facilitate ongoing support and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in systems engineering with a strong understanding of system architecture design principles.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud services such as AWS and Azure for deploying scalable applications.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies including VMware ESXi and related management tools.
• Solid knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server and Linux distributions like Ubuntu or CentOS.
• Experience with containerization platforms such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm for microservices deployment.
• Strong scripting skills using Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python or similar languages for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Understanding of network security concepts including firewalls, VPNs, DNS/DHCP configuration, load balancing techniques and information security best practices.
• Ability to develop RESTful APIs for system integration purposes using JavaScript or Java programming languages.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Git workflows.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
