Full job description

We are a London-based small-group tour operator seeking new Driver-Guides to join our small team. Our scheduled tours with up to 16 guests include day trips to the Cotswolds and Kent, together with longer multi-day tours to Cornwall, the Lake District and Wales. As a Driver-Guide you will be the face of our company, leading the delivery of high-quality tours to our clients, telling stories and creating memorable experiences.

By travelling as a small group our itineraries reach the places that others dare not venture. We are passionate about getting off the beaten track and providing our guests - from the UK and around the world - with high-quality, local and authentic experiences.

A Typical Candidate

Our team is made up of talented professionals from diverse backgrounds. Many have joined us to pursue a new (and fun!) career path, bringing a wealth of skills and life experience. Among our Driver-Guides you’ll find a former - police officer, member of the armed forces, web developer, chartered accountant, financial adviser and a jazz singer.

If you have a clean driving licence and the right personality for this role, we'll help you through the process!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver memorable small-group tours across England and Wales
  • Drive an executive 16-seat Mercedes minibus
  • Provide personalised commentary and local information
  • Day-to-day management of clients
  • Completion of daily vehicle requirements including cleanliness

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION:

  • London-area based
  • Confident driver with clean licence and D1 entitlement
  • Ability to engage enthusiastically with clients and recount knowledge, anecdotes & back stories
  • Highly organised and flexible in a changing day-to-day operational environment
