Job summary
This is a hands-on workshop position in our Erskine workshop, an exciting opportunity for a Goldsmith who thrives on variety and developing their skills.

Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
(must be flexible to work overtime on the rare occasion it is needed, and occasional Saturday work during busy periods approx. 6-10 per year maximum.)

Responsibilities of role

You will be responsible for:

• Hand finishing bespoke pieces in gold and platinum to the highest standard.
• Preparing and assembling casting parts, resizing rings, re-tipping claws, polishing, rhodium plating and other core bench tasks.
• Laser welding (experience helpful, but not essential — training can be provided).
• Using the most up to date equipment and processes to produce high standard of jewellery and precious metal castings.
• Knowledge and previous experience using CAD software to design jewellery pieces would be advantageous but not essential.
• Working both independently and collaboratively as part of a skilled workshop team.

Requirements of candidate

• We are looking for an individual with a practical and enthusiastic mindset, open to learning and improving their skill set and our manufacturing capability.
• 5 years plus proven experience as a bench jeweller, including gold and platinum work.
• Strong handmaking skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Flexible and adaptable to client needs and workshop demands.
