Summary

At VACAC (VIRTUAL, AUGMENTED, CGI, AI AND CAD SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS LIMITED), we are building immersive technologies that help virtualise the industrial world. From CGI animations to interactive 3D experiences and serious games, our work enables companies to bring their products to life through immersive applications and real-time 3D experiences.

As a growing team, we offer graduates the opportunity to work on real-world creative projects, develop their skills across the 3D production pipeline, and contribute to meaningful work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Role

As a Graduate 3D Generalist, you'll collaborate day-to-day as part of a small, growing team of 3D generalists and software engineers to create visual content that supports our immersive applications, animations, and real-time 3D experiences. You'll gain exposure to different stages of the 3D production pipeline while developing your skills through real project work.

What You'll Do

  • Create and contribute to 3D assets, animations, and renders used to showcase industrial products and environments
  • Work closely with 3D generalists and software engineers to integrate visual content into interactive and real-time experiences
  • Contribute across the 3D production pipeline, including modelling, texturing, lighting, and rendering
  • Support the development and improvement of workflows, pipelines, and processes that enable efficient project delivery
  • Ensure your work is well-organised, clearly documented, and aligned with team standards
  • Test, review, and refine your work based on feedback to improve quality and consistency
  • Create and contribute to documentation, tutorials, and guides to support knowledge sharing across the team
  • Develop your skills by working with a range of tools and techniques on real projects, with ongoing support from the team

Key Qualifications

Essential:

  • Proficiency in Blender (or similar 3D software)
  • Experience across core areas of the 3D pipeline, including modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering, or animation
  • Understanding of composition, lighting, and visual quality
  • A portfolio demonstrating your work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with texturing and material creation tools (e.g. Substance Painter)
  • Experience with post-production tools (e.g. Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
  • Experience working with real-time engines (e.g. Unity, Unreal Engine)
  • Exposure to additional 3D areas such as rigging, simulation, or scripting
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git, Subversion, etc)
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles
  • Familiarity with immersive technologies such as VR, AR, or interactive experiences
  • Familiarity with agile ways of working (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and ability to adapt to changing project needs

Nice to Have (Optional):

  • Experience with architectural or product visualisation, including high-quality rendering and lighting techniques

Education:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field can be beneficial, but we are primarily interested in your portfolio, skills, and attitude.
