About Us

John Mark Ltd is a leading luxury wallcovering and textile manufacturer, producing digitally printed wallcoverings and fabrics for some of the world's most prestigious interior designers, luxury brands, hotels and boutique design studios.

Based in Leyland, Lancashire, we combine traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge digital print technology to deliver exceptional bespoke products to customers across the globe.

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Junior Wallpaper & Studio Colourist to join our growing studio team.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in artwork preparation, pre-press, textile design or print production who has a passion for colour, design and delivering exceptional quality. Working within our busy studio environment, you will report directly to the Studio Managers and Head of Production, supporting a wide range of luxury wallcovering and textile projects for clients around the world.

The successful candidate will be responsible for checking customer artwork, preparing files for production, colour matching bespoke designs, and ensuring all artwork meets our exacting print standards. You will also play a key role in supporting customers during studio sampling and colour trial sessions, helping to achieve the best possible results from concept through to production.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with designers, brands and clients, combining technical expertise with creativity in a fast-paced and rewarding manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Check customer artwork against order specifications and internal procedures.

· Pre-flight and prepare artwork files for digital print production.

· Identify and resolve artwork issues including sizing, resolution, colour profiles, bleed, fonts and file integrity.

· Communicate artwork amendments and technical requirements directly with customers.

· Provide technical advice in line with our Artwork Set-Up Guide.

· Colour match designs to customer samples and specifications.

· Support product development, sampling and colour trial projects.

· Work alongside clients in our studio during colour matching and approval sessions.

· Assist with wallpaper and textile design preparation using industry-leading software.

· Follow internal quality control and digital workflow procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

· Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).

· Strong attention to detail and colour accuracy.

· Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong communication skills.

· Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Desirable

· Experience within print production, pre-press or artwork preparation.

· Knowledge of wallpaper, textiles, interior design or surface pattern design.

· Experience using AVA CAD/CAM software.

· Familiarity with RIP software and digital print workflows.

· Experience working with HP Latex or wide-format digital printing equipment.

· Mac proficiency.

· Training will be provided for the right candidate.
