Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Print Room Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in print production who wants to develop a career in the large format printing industry.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our in-house print facility, producing high-quality large format graphics for a range of creative projects while developing expertise in colour management, media selection, finishing techniques and production workflows.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, eager to learn, passionate about producing high-quality work, physically capable of handling materials, and enthusiastic about supporting a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate large format printers.
  • Prepare artwork files for print following established procedures.
  • Manage the daily in-house print schedule and prioritise workload.
  • Load and unload a variety of print media from roll based to rigid substrates
  • Monitor print quality and resolve minor production issues.
  • Carry out routine maintenance, cleaning and calibration of printing equipment.
  • Maintain stock levels of media, inks and consumables.
  • Keep the print room clean, organised and operating efficiently.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Reliable and self-motivated.
  • Comfortable working in a production environment.
  • Basic computer skills.

Desirable

  • Interest in print production, graphics or signage.
  • Experience using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or similar software.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production or print (not essential).
  • An understanding of colour management and design principles.

This position would suit someone who enjoys working independently, has an eye for detail, and wants to build a long-term career in professional large format print production. If you have a practical mindset, enjoy technology, and are interested in mastering colour accuracy and modern print equipment, this is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist skills within a growing business.

Pay: Up to £25,000.00 per year
