Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and creative Junior Carpet Designer to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will assist in developing innovative carpet patterns and textures that elevate interior spaces. Your enthusiasm for design, combined with your technical skills, will contribute to creating visually stunning and functional flooring solutions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative environment dedicated to quality and aesthetic excellence.

Duties

  • Support senior designers in conceptualizing and developing new carpet designs using digital design tools.
  • Create detailed sketches and visual representations of carpet patterns for client presentations and production.
  • Utilize software such as SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and CAD programs to develop accurate design prototypes.
  • Assist in preparing digital assets for web display, including web design elements and photography editing.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production while maintaining artistic integrity.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials by designing engaging visuals with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate fresh ideas for textures, colors, and patterns that align with current trends.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in digital design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience with SketchUp, Maya, or CAD programs is highly desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of web design principles using HTML and CSS is a plus.
  • Strong skills in graphic design, photography, and visual storytelling.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as Sketch or Adobe After Effects is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret client needs into compelling visual concepts.
  • A portfolio demonstrating creativity in pattern design, digital artwork, or related projects.
