Job Overview

COEL is looking for a Junior Designer to join our workplace and interior design team in Cambridge. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years’ commercial workplace or interiors experience who wants to grow quickly, learn from experienced colleagues and contribute to real client projects.

Role

You will support workplace layouts, test fits, client presentation packs, mood boards, finishes, furniture planning, 2D drawings and 3D concept work. You will also attend client meetings, workshops and site surveys with guidance from the Senior Designer, building confidence in both design judgement and client communication.

Requirements

We are looking for someone creative, practical, organised and open to feedback, with confidence using AutoCAD, SketchUp, PowerPoint, InDesign and Photoshop. A degree or HND in interior design, workplace design, spatial design, architecture or a closely related field is required, together with a short PDF portfolio and the right to work in the UK.

In return

Salary is around £30,000 depending on experience, with benefits including pension, holiday allowance, healthcare cash plan, wellbeing support, training support, laptop, phone, parking, cycle-to-work support and company socials.
