Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
Location: Braintree - CM77 7AT - 5 days in the office

About the Role

Complete Care Shop, part of NRS-UK and the wider Mobilitas Group, is one of the UK’s most trusted online retailers for mobility aids, supporting our customers to stay independent, comfortable and confident.

We are seeking a Junior Technical Author who will support with the creation and maintenance of clear, accurate, and user-focused Instructions for Use (IFUs), and related product documentation. The ultimate aim being to support our customers and colleagues in understanding and using our products effectively.

As a Junior Technical Author, you will:

  • Support the writing, editing, and maintenance of IFUs and other product documentation, including user manuals, release notes, FAQs, and care guides, ensuring accuracy and precision in every detail.
  • Use InDesign, or similar desktop publishing software, to design, format, and produce professional, on-brand IFUs and product documentation.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather, verify, and meticulously document technical information.
  • Review and incorporate feedback from colleagues, customers, and product testing to improve clarity, usability, and compliance of documentation.

About you

To be considered for the position of Junior Technical Author, you will need:

  • Excellent written communication and proofreading skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to understand and explain technical information clearly
  • Confidence working with a range of people to gather information
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Willingness and ability to learn technical products quickly and develop a practical understanding of product functionality

Experience within healthcare, medical devices, mobility aids, assistive technology or other regulated industries would be beneficial.
