Data Analyst Apprentice

Location: North West
Salary: £9 p/h

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Data Analyst to begin or develop a career in data.

You’ll gain hands-on experience working across the full data lifecycle, helping turn data into meaningful insights that support business decisions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in data, problem-solving, and analytics who is eager to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Interpret data and analyse results using statistical techniques
  • Produce clear reports to support decision-making
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights within complex datasets

Data Management

  • Collect and organise data from a variety of sources
  • Maintain databases and ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Clean and validate data to identify and resolve issues

Systems & Tools

  • Support the development of data collection systems and reporting solutions
  • Work with tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualisation platforms
  • Assist with improving data processes and efficiency

Collaboration & Improvement

  • Work with stakeholders to understand business and data needs
  • Support prioritisation of data projects and requirements
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Good understanding of data concepts and structures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Good level of Maths
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills

Desirable:

  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with a programming language (e.g. Python, R, Java, C#)
  • Awareness of data visualisation tools such as Power BI
  • Understanding of ETL processes or data pipelines
