Full job description

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join one of our customer-facing product teams where you will play a crucial role in helping shape the technical direction of our web platform.

Experience of collaborating in cross-functional product teams on the successful delivery of complex, highly performing and high-quality software systems required.

Previous experience working with C#, MVC, SQL and AWS also required.

About the Role:

As our Software Engineer you will join one of our customer-facing product teams and you will play a crucial role in helping to shape the technical direction of our web platform. You will be supported by a Product Manager as well as a Lead Engineer to ensure we are building the right experiences to delight our customers with the right tech choices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coding and Development: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Participate in hands-on development as needed, contributing to critical parts of the project.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality assurance and testing processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. Perform code reviews and oversee testing efforts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve technical issues and challenges, providing timely solutions to keep projects on track.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Experience of collaborating in cross-functional product teams on the successful delivery of complex, highly performing and high-quality software systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Extensive experience of C#, MVC and SQL (.net framework and .net core)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in mentoring junior software developers.
  • Experience using agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of AWS (or other cloud technologies)
  • Knowledge of distributed caching
  • Knowledge of search technologies
  • Exposure to TeamCity, Octopus and Bitbucket Pipelines
