Summary

At VACAC (VIRTUAL, AUGMENTED, CGI, AI AND CAD SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS LIMITED), we are building immersive technologies that help virtualise the industrial world. The Role

As a Graduate Software Engineer, you'll collaborate day-to-day as part of a small, growing team of software engineers and 3D generalists to build software that powers our immersive applications, interactive tools, and real-time 3D experiences. You'll gain exposure to a range of technologies while developing your skills through real project work.

What You'll Do

  • Build and contribute to web applications, software tools, and interactive 3D experiences used to showcase industrial products
  • Work closely with software engineers and 3D generalists to integrate visual content, interactivity, and functionality into applications
  • Develop and improve internal tools, scripts, and workflows that support project delivery
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
  • Test, debug, and help improve the performance and reliability of applications
  • Create and contribute to technical documentation, tutorials, and guides to support knowledge sharing across the team
  • Learn and apply new technologies as you work on real projects, with ongoing support from the team

Key Qualifications

Essential:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM subject (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with at least one programming language (e.g. JavaScript, C#, Python)
  • Understanding of core software development principles
  • Exposure to 3D development or real-time engines (e.g. Unity, three.js, or similar)
  • A portfolio demonstrating your work
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git, Subversion , etc)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with web development technologies or frameworks
  • Experience integrating 3D content into applications or working with 3D pipelines
  • Experience in immersive technologies (VR, AR, MR)
  • Familiarity with agile ways of working (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and the ability to adapt to changing project needs

Nice to Have (Optional):

  • Exposure to areas such as game/engine development or machine learning
