Full job description

Finance Team Administrator (Part‑Time)

This is an entry level role and ideal for someone looking to start their finance career.

Who We Are

At Green Retreats Group, we design and build premium garden rooms and operate across several growing businesses, including Clear Edge UPVC and Optec Electrical Services. We’re a friendly, supportive team based on Westcott Venture Park, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys organisation, admin work, and being part of a busy office environment.

The Role

This is ideally a part‑time administrative role supporting our Finance team. Your day‑to‑day work will be centred around organisation, data entry, communication, and keeping our financial records running smoothly.

If you’re someone who enjoys admin but is also curious about finance, this role offers a gentle, supported pathway into more finance‑based tasks over time. There’s no pressure to specialise immediately — you can grow at your own pace.

What You’ll Be Doing

Admin & Office Support (Most of Your Time)

  • Keeping digital and paper records organised
  • Entering invoices, receipts, and supplier/customer details
  • Updating spreadsheets and internal logs
  • Monitoring shared inboxes and directing queries
  • Preparing simple weekly or monthly summaries
  • Chasing missing information from suppliers or internal teams
  • General admin tasks that keep the Finance team running smoothly

Finance Tasks You’ll Learn Gradually

You’ll start with simple, structured tasks such as:

  • Matching invoices to goods received
  • Checking pricing and basic data
  • Processing supplier invoices

As you grow in confidence, you’ll have the chance to learn:

  • Accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Simple reconciliations
  • Month‑end support tasks
  • How to use accounting software

Training support (including ATT or college courses) is available if you choose to develop further.

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone organised, accurate, and reliable
  • Comfortable using Excel and Office
  • A good communicator
  • Happy working in a fast‑paced environment
  • Interested in learning more about finance over time
  • Previous admin experience is helpful but not essential

What You’ll Get

  • £26,500–£27,500 per annum (pro‑rata for part time working)
  • 24–32 hours per week, flexible part‑time options
  • Optional finance training support
  • Hybrid working (1 day per week after probation)
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays (pro‑rata), plus service‑based increases
  • Pension scheme
  • Healthcare cashback
  • My PERKS discounts
  • Friendly team, casual dress, on‑site parking

*Due to our location on Westcott Venture Park, Buckinghamshire, all candidates must have their own transport to commute to work.

Pay: £26,500.00-£27,500.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Bereavement leave
  • Casual dress
  • Company events
  • Company pension
  • Enhanced maternity leave
  • Enhanced paternity leave
  • Free parking
  • Health & wellbeing programme
  • On-site parking
  • Sick pay

Application question(s):

  • Do you live within 30 minutes of Westcott Venture Park HP18 0XB?
  • Do you have your own transport?

Experience:

  • Microsoft Excel: 2 years (required)

Work Location: In person
