Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively bar environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, good organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently during busy periods. Previous restaurant or bar experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. All positions are paid, including internships, and offer opportunities for career development within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

  • Serve drinks and food to customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Take orders accurately and efficiently using the bar POS system
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations
  • Handle cash and card transactions responsibly, demonstrating good basic maths skills
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
  • Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere
  • Assist with setting up and closing down the bar at the start and end of shifts
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve all guests promptly

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and procedures
  • Excellent serving skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
  • Ability to work well under pressure during peak hours
  • Strong time management skills to ensure timely service throughout shifts
  • Friendly personality with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
