Kitchen Fitter – Installation & Customer Care Specialist
£34,000+ depending on experience | Company Van | Monday–Friday | Leicestershire
Love fitting kitchens, but ready for something a little different?
Perhaps you're an experienced kitchen fitter looking for more predictable working hours and a better work-life balance. Or maybe you're developing your career in kitchen installation and want to put your skills to good use with a company that values quality workmanship.
At Sherwin Hall Kitchens, we're looking for someone who takes pride in doing a job properly, enjoys solving problems and knows how to leave a customer with a smile.
This isn't about fitting complete kitchens day after day.
It's about using your practical skills and product knowledge to make sure our customers' kitchens look fantastic, work perfectly and meet the standards they expect.
What makes this opportunity different?
- Regular hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am–4pm, giving you more predictable working days.
- Reliable salary: From £34,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Company van and fuel card: Provided for your work.
- Variety in your day: From making adjustments to installing additional units and putting the finishing touches on a kitchen.
- Independence with support: Manage your work professionally while being part of an established team.
- Job satisfaction: See the difference your workmanship makes to customers in their homes.
- An opportunity to develop: Build your product knowledge and technical skills as part of a growing business.
What will you be doing?
You'll be one of the people who helps us deliver the final, all-important part of our customer experience.
Working in customers' homes and on new-build developments, you'll:
- Carry out kitchen adjustments, repairs and remedial work.
- Install additional kitchen units, panels, accessories and upgrades.
- Diagnose and resolve fitting or product issues.
- Complete jobs efficiently without compromising quality.
- Treat every customer's home with care and respect, leaving your work area clean and tidy.
- Keep accurate records of completed work and communicate with our office team.
- Represent Sherwin Hall professionally and positively.
You'll have the freedom to use your skills and judgement, with the expectation that every job is completed to a high standard.
Is this you?
We're more interested in finding the right person than someone with the perfect CV.
Ideally, you'll have previous kitchen fitting experience, whether that's from working independently, as part of an installation team or through a relevant apprenticeship.
What really matters is that you:
- Understand kitchen products, components and how they're installed.
- Have good practical fitting and problem-solving skills.
- Take genuine pride in the quality of your work.
- Work at a good pace, managing your time effectively.
- Are friendly, respectful and comfortable dealing with homeowners.
- Can work independently and know when to ask for support.
- Have a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy getting things right.
You'll need a full UK driving licence and your own basic fitting kit, including cordless tools. You'll need an M-Class dust extractor for site work. A CSCS card would be an advantage.
You don't need to have spent years fitting kitchens if you can demonstrate the skills, attitude and potential we're looking for.
Why Sherwin Hall Kitchens?
We know a kitchen's quality isn't just about how it looks on installation day. It's about the attention to detail, the finishing touches and how we look after our customers.
That's why this role matters.
You'll be a valued part of the team, helping us maintain our reputation for quality and customer care.
We offer a supportive working environment, ongoing development and the opportunity to build a long-term career with us.
Ready for your next move?
If you're an experienced kitchen fitter looking for a different pace and more predictable working hours, or you're developing your fitting career and want an opportunity to grow, we'd love to hear from you.
You don't need a polished CV to start a conversation. Tell us a little about your experience, the work you enjoy and why this opportunity interests you.
Apply today and let's have a chat.
